I wish that I could tell you
That you’ll soon be good as new
But you know you’ll never be the same
And that would not be true
But I’ve been there and I can tell you
Time will heal in part
But there’s no total mending
Of a broken heart
I wish there was a magic formula
That I could use
To make it all just go away
And start the day brand new
I’d take away the heartache
Wipe away the tears and pain
No one would fall apart
Or break inside again
